EHFF 2024 creates momentum for the fitness world of tomorrow

© RX Deutschland GmbH / FIBO

This year, the European Health & Fitness Forum (EHFF) is once again focussing on the future of the fitness industry. As usual, the EHFF takes place in the run-up to FIBO and is the starting signal for knowledge transfer and networking with high-calibre industry experts and members.

Together with FIBO, for the 11th time EuropeActive is inviting representatives of the international fitness and health industry to the Congress Centre North at Koelnmesse on 10 April. While FIBO is aimed equally at trade visitors and fitness enthusiasts, the EHFF focuses on industry experts. Under this year's motto "Future-Proofing Your Business through Strategic Management", they will not only be offered an impressive programme of speakers, but also insights into the developments and key figures of the market. In addition to professional education, this year's participants will have even more opportunities for personal dialogue and top-level professional discussions.

Programme provides foresight and inspiration

The lecture programme begins with the presentation of the "2024 European Fitness Market Report" by Herman Rutgers (EuropeActive) and Karsten Hollasch (Deloitte). The report offers current insights into market trends, consumer behaviour and industry analyses. This will be followed by an interactive Q&A session led by moderator Emma Barry. Another item on the programme is the keynote speech by Mario Barbosa, CEO of GO fit. He will reveal how GO fit is entering a new European market with an investment programme of more than 100 million euros.

Inspiration will also be provided in Oliver Patrick's keynote speech on the future topic of longevity. Under the title "Fitness vs Wellbeing: Our role in disease prevention and longevity", the physiologist will look at the importance of prevention in the fitness sector. He also sheds light on how tech partnerships between healthcare, corporate wellness and fitness can promote a stronger future.

Is artificial intelligence revolutionising the fitness industry?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a topic that is here to stay and yet sounds like a dream of the future to many. As AI is becoming increasingly popular in all industries, including the health and fitness sector, it is important to understand the background, the opportunities and challenges, but also the limitations. In her keynote "The AI Heartbeat: Exploring the Principles of Responsible AI in Health and Fitness", Toju Duke, Responsible AI Advisor and author, explores this topic. She reveals the power and responsibility of health data in fitness and explores its ethical use and real-world implications.

Eric Falardeau will also focus on this topic and address two key areas: the transformative impact of digitalisation and AI in the fitness industry and the role of ESG principles for corporate growth. The keynotes "Driving Growth Through Sustainable Impact" and "Digitisation and AI: Revolutionising the Fitness Industry" will also provide insights into consumer trends and sustainable success stories.

Exclusive evening event offers networking at the highest level

On the evening of the EHFF, EuropeActive and FIBO invite you to round off a successful day together in the Rheinterrassen at the Tanzbrunnen. The exclusive EHFF networking dinner is the most effective way for participants to expand their network in the European fitness industry. At the same time, the evening is the perfect prelude to FIBO on 11 April.

Tickets for the eleventh EHFF are available at: www.europeactive.eu/event/EHFF
