The most important bodybuilding competitions in Germany in the second half of 2023

One post and the first half of 2023 is already over and we jump into the second half of this year. The latter half of the year also holds numerous stage highlights of the bodybuilding scene in Germany. To help you keep track of the large number of events, here is a list of the competitions of the two competing bodybuilding associations, Deutscher Bodybuilding- und Fitnessverband e. V. (DBFV) and National Athletic Committee (NAC) in Germany.

Even though athletes have to make a choice and may only participate in competitions of one federation, visitors can still enjoy the variety of events of both federations in the second half of 2023.

Optimal preparation 

Attention newcomers: To prepare you optimally for the competitions in the second half of the year, the NAC offers posing days and workshops before the autumn season. Because all the hard preparation and training is useless if your poses are not convincing. And who can provide better information than the association that sets the rules

DBFV

October, 21: Int. German Newcomer Championship 2023

The weekend in October is all about bodybuilding. "There has never been more DBFV bodybuilding & fitness in one weekend in this form!" the association is pleased to announce. It starts on Saturday with the championship for newcomers.

October 22: Int. German Youth, Junior and Masters Championships

On Sunday, the youth, juniors and masters will be in the spotlight and pose for the championship.

October, 29: Int. South German Championship with Juniors and Masters

In the south of the country, all age groups including juniors and masters will be on stage on 29 October and impress with their poses.

November, 18: Int. NRW Championship

The NRW State Championship offers exciting posing in the disciplines Bikini, Fitness-Figure, Wellness, Physique, Classic, Men BB Pairs, Fit Pairs, Junior BB Open and Masters PP Open.

November, 19: Int. East German Championship

The championship serves as a qualification for the German championship on 2 December for the federal states of Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, Berlin, Hamburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. Prizes are awarded for the disciplines Best Female and Male Athlete, and for the Best Posing.

No matter North, East, South and West. The goal of all athletes is to qualify for the German Championships:

NAC

October, 22: Int. German Newcomer Championship 2023

In the first season, the newcomers will compete in the following disciplines at the NAC: Bodybuilding Masters (40+), Bodybuilding Juniors, Women's Physique, Bodybuilding Men's II, Bodybuilding I, Figure, Classic Physique II, Classic Physique I, Bikini Wellness, Men's Physique, Bikini Shape. The class winners Bikini, Mens Physique, Classic Physique and Bodybuilding are allowed to start directly at the Ronny Rockel Classic afterwards.

October, 22: Ronny Rockel Classic

The Classic starts directly after the Newcomer Championship. All top 5 athletes of a past (Int.) German Championship (independent of the association) as well as participants with a personal invitation by the NAC Germany or Ronny Rockel personally may compete.

November, 4 & 5: The first weekend in November is all about the four cardinal points and the athletes qualify for the International German Championships on November, 18.

For the winners and all interested visitors, it's off to Berlin in mid-November. The International German Fitness & Bodybuilding Championships will crown the very best and qualify them for the Ms. & Mr. Universe.
