Healthy Nutrition top theme at FIBO 2018
Healthy Nutrition at FIBO 2018
Healthy Nutrition for fitness, exercise and lifestyle – FIBO 2018 will be more focussed on this topic than ever before. From 12 to 15 February, Healthy Nutrition will be one of the most prominent themes at the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health in Cologne. Generating lots of attention in particular will be a new exhibition area, the Sports Nutrition Area in Hall 4.2, as well as the new FIBO Cooking Area in Hall 10.2. Live cooking shows will be staged for the first time to demonstrate how to integrate supplements and superfoods into everyday cooking.
“More and more people desire a healthy lifestyle, and that’s true across all generations”, holding enormous potential for the fitness and health industry, which can expand its choices and reach out to new target groups, according to FIBO director Silke Frank. “Supplements aren’t an exclusive niche topic for bodybuilders and athletes, they’re a popular lifestyle.” FIBO 2018 will be generating additional momentum for this market development. With its new thematic structure and fresh formats, the trade show will direct the focus of the approximately 150,000 expected visitors even more strongly on Healthy Nutrition.
Healthy Nutrition as a live experience
For example, the FIBO Cooking Area in Hall 10.2 will be making its debut at the trade show. In 45-minute shows, manufacturers and nutritionists will demonstrate live how to prepare delicious dishes with supplements and superfoods. Silke Frank points out that “the emphasis will be on inspiring a healthy lifestyle rather than on product presentations.” Seven shows are planned for each day of the exhibition – featuring such themes as Healthy Soups, Quick & Healthy, and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meal options. Interested companies should contact Marcel Nowak (firstname.lastname@example.org).
New: FIBO Sports Nutrition Area
Also for the first time, a dedicated Sports Nutrition Area will be carved out at FIBO. Located in Hall 4.2, it will provide visitors with a quick overview of the topic in a compact area. About 50 key players and newcomers will introduce their new fitness and lifestyle products here – including Orthomol, Ovobest, Calory Coach, Melitta and Dr. Goerg. They’re the perfect complement to the nutritional offerings in the Power segment, where some 150 companies like Ironmaxx, Women’s Best, Rocka Nutrition, Energy Cake and fittaste will be showcasing supplements for performance and health.
It’s the world’s largest international trade show for fitness, wellness and health: the industry’s key players come together at FIBO in Cologne. This is where innovations are launched. This is where international trends are set. This is where the industry comes to invest. Some 1,019 companies from 49 nations participated in 2017, meeting more than 150,000 trade and private visitors from around the globe. In 2018, FIBO will take place at the Exhibition Centre Cologne from 12 to 15 April. Kicking off the trade show on 11 April 2018 will be the 5th European Health & Fitness Forum, a meeting of about 400 leading representatives of the European fitness sector.
