FIBO offers all-round package for physiotherapists and healthcare facilities
- World’s biggest overview of equipment-assisted training therapy
- Complete spectrum of ranges for physiotherapy
- Top-notch further training programme for physiotherapists
In addition to the biggest range of medical therapy and training equipment this trade show offers a comprehensive cross-section of ranges for physiotherapy practices and healthcare facilities: FIBO is where the healthcare market players meet because healthcare is a market of the future. As the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health, FIBO knows what physiotherapists need and satisfies this demand holistically with a perfect mix of all health-oriented segments. This also includes an extensive line-up of expert lectures and the chance to collect continuous education credits. Such names as PINO, opta data, Schupp, MED80, Ergo-fit, Frei AG, Dr. WOLFF Sports & Prevention, h/p/cosmos sports & medical, HUR Deutschland, Ludwig Artzt, Technogym or SCHNELL Trainingsgeräte, to name but a few, are synonymous with the wide spectrum of exhibits that FIBO has in store for physiotherapists. In excess of 100 FIBO exhibitors offer products and services related to physiotherapy and other healthcare facilities.
FIBO is above all a synonym for the valuable synergies between the fitness and healthcare sectors. Many physiotherapy practices are extending their service portfolio for self-payers to include preventive treatments. Beyond this, physiotherapists are increasingly generating a second income at fitness clubs since prevention and health play an ever greater role at fitness clubs. In many places we see new formats of cooperation between fitness and physiotherapy emerge.
Complete spectrum of exhibits for physiotherapy
For physiotherapists’ practices offering equipment-assisted movement training FIBO is the must-go destination. Especially in the “health hall” 7 exhibitors show medical training and diagnostics equipment. Here physiotherapists will receive a valuable overview for all their practice furnishing needs ranging from software and therapy beds through to payment settlement. The selection of devices certified according to “MPG”, the German Medical Products Law, is particularly wide and varied. The provisions of the Medical Products Law only govern physiotherapy practices and fitness clubs if they have payments settled for their services delivered in the framework of aided programmes such as rehabilitation sports or in accordance with § 20 SGB (Social Code Book) directly or indirectly by sickness funds. This also applies to fitness clubs that offer patients physiotherapy services. As a result, furnishing such facilities with MPG-certified equipment forms the basis for working with patients in rehabilitation, therapy and prevention.
More orientation: Infopoint and Guided Tours
Making sure interested visitors get the full picture, Infopoint Physio right on the Boulevard will provide them with information on exhibitors that offer products for this segment, and on the supporting programme.
In addition to this, FIBO offers guided tours for physiotherapists. The “Guided Tour Physio” provides an overview of exhibitors’ extensive physio ranges and flags up novelties and innovations. For registration go to www.fibo.com/guidedtours.
Meetingpoint Physio: networking, workshops and expert talks
The Meetingpoint Physio in Hall 7 is the central point of contact for all questions related to physiotherapy. Here you can network with colleagues, establish contacts with the fitness sector and listen to expert lectures. Furthermore, seminars, professional consulting and expert talks are also available.
Further training and continuous education programme at the FIBO CAMPUS rewarded with continuing education credits
The agenda of the FIBO CAMPUS addresses both common ailments and selected health problems that competitive sportspeople encounter. The new congress held as part of FIBO is tailored to the needs of physiotherapists and sports physicians who can compile their personal “curriculum” here. Top-notch speakers will address topical theoretical as well as practical physiotherapy themes: fascia therapy, therapies for chronic back and neck pain, therapies to follow up hip and knee replacements – including the chance to collect continuous education credits.
Numerous partners – associations, trade magazines, training institutes, to name but a few – support the FIBO CAMPUS with their input. They include GluckerKolleg, the German Academy for Applied Sports Medicine (Deutsche Akademie für Angewandte Sportmedizin – DAASM), the German Society for Sports Medicine and Prevention (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sportmedizin und Prävention – DGSP), publishing house Georg Thieme Verlag, or Thera Biz.
New impulses: EMS training and aqua movement therapy
EMS has been on everyone’s lips in the fitness sector for years. But can this type of training also serve as a model for physiotherapy? Especially for patients suffering from lower back pain EMS training is showing excellent results and therefore very well suited for self-payer concepts. The EMS programme at the FIBO CAMPUS offers all interested parties an ideal opportunity to gather detailed information on the latest EMS concepts. All leading suppliers for the EMS segment are pooled in Hall 5.2.
Movement therapy in water is increasingly becoming a focal theme at FIBO. As part of the FIBO CAMPUS there will be two theoretical lectures in aqua fitness on Thursday. The corresponding practical CAMPUS exercises as well as an extensive line-up of side events will take place in the pool in Hall 4.1.
New Business Area
Those wanting to find out about career opportunities in the fitness and healthcare industry will find everything they need in the New Business Area in Hall 5.2. Organised in cooperation with the German Ministry of Economy and Export Control, the DSSV and the AXA Startup Center, this Area will put visitors in contact with successful start-ups and start-up consultants and also offer vacancies and job seekers. Various talks will touch on such start-up critical themes as marketing, taxes and distribution. On top of this, the FIBO CAMPUS will provide some input related to starting a business.
Focus on franchising
The New Business Area will also focus on franchising, which plays a pivotal role in the fitness industry. At FIBO various franchisors will be presenting their concepts. Talks will inform visitors on the benefits and challenges of franchise systems. In addition, the German Franchise Association will be available for any questions in Hall 8.
