When Planet Fitness, one of the largest health club franchises with over 2,000 locations and 15 million members worldwide, started to work on its integrated data strategy three years ago, no-one was expecting a pandemic that would cause gyms to shutdown. Now that COVID-19 has hit the fitness industry hard, Chief Digital Officer Craig Miller says that the clever use of data and content - among other things – has helped the company stay engaged with its members and prospects during the closure.
