How you can increase your income with beer
Every year, FIBO surprises with unheard of innovations that expand what is on offer in fitness studios and shops. One such product at FIBO 2018 was JoyBräu, which began its own unique success story at the trade show. The company’s two founders, Erik Dimter and Tristan Brümmer, presented their brand new product at a 20-square-metre stand and won the FIBO Innovation & Trend Award in the Lifestyle category. Now, less than one year later, the world’s first non-alcoholic protein beer can already be found in some 150 German fitness studios – and the number continues to grow. FIBO will be showing how to use nutrition to increase sales yet again this year. Numerous exhibitors will be presenting products in the fitness nutrition and supplements area, and JoyBräu will also be returning to show off its very latest products and services.
36.5 percent of fitness studios in Germany offer food and/or drinks, a number that rises to 50 percent for fitness chains (DSSV, 2018). Yet very few trainees spend much time here. Expanding the range of products on offer can increase both the time they spend and the sales they generate – without the need for any major investments. “JoyBräu is a lifestyle beverage that invites studio patrons to stay for a while. This makes it a charming alternative to conventional shakes, and it also increases your sales. And, as our official partner, you can enjoy margins of up to 102 percent,” says Tristan Brümmer. Studio operators can also offer this beer to customers without maintaining a food and drinks counter, thanks to the new drinks machines with JoyBräu cans.
JoyBräu is part of a multi-billion-euro sports nutrition market; in fact, according to estimates from Euromonitor International, the market is expected to reach a volume of 12 billion euros in 2019. Of this figure, 80 percent is to be accounted for by protein products. Fitness studios can capture some of this market – as long as they offer the right products. FIBO offers a large international overview in a convenient format. Of the more than 1,000 exhibitors in Cologne, some 250 will be showcasing the year’s biggest nutrition trends.
Trade visitors to its FIBO stand will be able to find out what special FIBO conditions JoyBräu is offering, as well as the new products it is planning to launch. “FIBO will be our most important trade show for 2019. We’re innovative, young, dynamic and a little bit crazy, and that will also be visible at our stand,” says Tristan Brümmer about the upcoming trade show. “Following our FIBO debut in 2018 with only 20 square metres, we are planning to book 160 square metres in Hall 4.2 next year to showcase our unique stand concept, special trade show conditions – and, naturally, free beer!”
