How we live, eat and work, the way we play, travel and maintain our vitality, our methods for dealing with stress and our response to illnesses: wellness has long since moved beyond being a feel-good programme – today it is part of an active and healthy experiential lifestyle. At FIBO 2020, new concepts and ideas for this trend are at home in Hall 8, where studio operators, physiotherapists, spas, hoteliers and occupational health management executives can discover how to align their business models at the interface between fitness, wellness and health so that they will be fit for the future.

More than 45,000 visitors in four countries: from August to October, FIBO brought together companies from the international fitness industry, studio operators, trainers and fitness fans on three continents. They met at events with a years-long history, such as FIBO CHINA, and at premieres like FIBO USA, which made its debut this year in Miami.

Don't just watch, experience the action live: the nominees and winners of the FIBO INNOVATION & TREND AWARD can look forward to being staged in a very special setting at the trade show. Using virtual reality, their products will become tangible in a studio environment right at the show. That puts the award winners even more clearly into the spotlight for the approximately 145,000 visitors who attend FIBO every year primarily to see innovations and new products. FIBO is now again looking for the products of tomorrow, and, with two new categories covering healthy nutrition and sustainability, the show has its finger on the pulse of time.

Professional information and further training are the top priorities at FIBO. This is why the leading international trade fair for fitness, wellness and health will be seeking expert support from 2020 for the organisation of the FIBO Congress. Together with the german university for prevention and health management (DHfPG) and the BSA-Academy (BSA) experienced specialists, who have been working in the education sector for over 35 years, are responsible for the organisation and implementation of the congress under the direction of FIBO. Because of their many years of experience, as well in organizing congresses, the professional character of the congress as part of the FIBO from 2nd to 5th of April – and beyond in the long term – will be raised to a new level.

Here to stay. This is also true of FIBO, which will remain a child of Cologne. An agreement to this end has now been reached by the organiser, Reed Exhibitions Deutschland, and Koelnmesse Ausstellungen GmbH, with both parties agreeing to an early ten-year extension of their current agreement to 2032.
