Since the move to its home on the Rhine River, FIBO has developed into one of the fastest-growing flagship fairs internationally, nearly doubling not only its exhibition area, but its exhibitor and visitor numbers as well. FIBO plans to continue expanding its thematic scope at its Cologne location in the years to come. There are already a number of new developments to announce for 2020.

Here to stay. This is also true of FIBO, which will remain a child of Cologne. An agreement to this end has now been reached by the organiser, Reed Exhibitions Deutschland, and Koelnmesse Ausstellungen GmbH, with both parties agreeing to an early ten-year extension of their current agreement to 2032.

Sun, sea, art, culture – and fitness: FIBO USA could not have picked a better place. Miami Beach, which attracts fitness enthusiasts from all over the world with such hotspots as its Muscle Beach, where locals exercise at a plethora of fitness clubs and companies invest in a healthy lifestyle, will host the second FIBO USA from 17 to 19 October. In a study, Miami was just recently declared the “healthiest destination in America” with its diverse fitness clubs, spas, yoga and Pilates studios, wholefood stores and vegan restaurants. The venue for FIBO USA is the newly designed Miami Beach Convention Center located at the heart of South Beach.

International know-how, global trends and a fast-growing national fitness industry: the perfect mixture to be found right at FIBO CHINA. The leading fitness trade show on the Asian market is set to also outperform itself again in 2019. In excess of 450 brands will be presented in Shanghai from 22 to 25 August. They will meet with buyers from fitness clubs and sports venues but also from sectors like rehabilitation and nursing care as well as public welfare institutes, hotels, import and export companies, sport articles stores, importers, trainers and fitness enthusiasts.

“It’s the business, stupid” – business that brings the worldwide fitness industry to FIBO in Cologne. This is how a club operator from Miami summed it up and he could not have described the situation more aptly: registering trade visitors from 133 nations (previous year: 121) FIBO impressively underscored its status as the biggest and most important meeting point for the industry worldwide where trends are presented and where in excess of EUR two billion are invested. “Here’s the beef,” says the man from Florida with a grin.
