Data Series #4: Females as future high-growth audiences
Data Series #4: Females as future high-growth audiences
FitTech Summit
Thursday, December 3rd 2020 at 4:30 pm
Until recently, fitness products have been targeted at a predominantly male audience. However, the industry is increasingly recognizing the high potential of female consumers.
Products geared towards a female audience range from specifically-designed wearables, nutrition apps with a majority of female users, and fitness apps incorporating features specific to women, such as Menstrual Cycle Tracking.
In this FitTech Society Data Series, powered by Garmin, we will examine which specific data points are the most appropriate, where the border between relevant data and pure marketing lies, and how to create products that will harness the full potential of the female market.
The Data Series has been created in collaboration with Garmin to bring you the best data-focused insights across different aspects of the future of health & fitness.

The current situation is forcing customer service to its knees and retailers must quickly develop new solutions to ensure that customer contact continues to be maintained. After all, by no means all providers are geared to home office. Online enquiries and purchases, on the other hand, are rising sharply right now and fast, available support is extremely relevant for a good customer experience and sales transactions.
In this 30-minute webinar, ECC Cologne and GUURU will discuss what is particularly important now and how, for example, the combination of AI and human support in customer service can help dealers in the current situation.

The impact of Covid-19 has been felt across the fitness and physical activity sector. Nowhere is this truer than amongst those fitness instructors and trainers employed in our clubs and working independently. Many operators have been keen to support their employees financially and many have been furloughed. Trainers have made the transition to online services while others have sadly been unable or unprepared to make this transition.
But as we begin to see a loosening of restrictions and an impetus toward reopening, we must ask ourselves how the role of fitness professionals will have shifted in the ‘new normal’. What knowledge, skills and competencies will be required of those working in clubs anxious to reinvigorate themselves but bound by considerations of controlled access, safe distancing and hygiene protocols.
In this first webinar focused on standards and skills we will explore the development of guidelines for fitness professionals and how these guidelines can be incorporate in educational standards across Europe.
