More information to your journey by public transportation can be found at the:
Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg oir via the Koelnmesse homepage.

Arrival by car

Ten highways lead into Cologne's beltway, which brings you directly to the exhibition centre without junctions or traffic lights. Simply follow the green signs marked "Koelnmesse". There are about 14,500 parking spaces around the exhibition centre. Free shuttle buses run from the car parks to the entrances.

Once in the area surrounding the exhibition centre, you will be guided to the appropriate parking spaces by our modern traffic guidance system. There is a total of approx. 14,500 parking places available for our guests. The parking spaces are optimally linked to our entrances. You can reach them on foot or, if applicable, using our complimentary shuttle buses. Parking prices vary between 8 – 10 Euros per day.

Environmental Zone

Since 2012, most of Cologne's metrolpolitan area is a low emission zone, into which only vehicles sporting one of the stickers for emission groups 2 – 4 are allowed to enter.

The exhibition centre Cologne is, however, accessible for all types of vehicles, even if they do not bear one of the aforementioned stickers.

Here, you will find directions on how to reach the site without a sticker at map low emission zone and beltway map.

City info

Besides FIBO, the city of Cologne has a lot more to offer.
Here we present you our highlights.

Activities & Sights

Directly at Cologne Central Station you will find the 157-meter high "Kölner Dom". The UNESCO world heritage was built between 1248 and 1880 and offers a breathtaking view over Cologne. Tickets are available from 3€.

Highlights of German sports history can be admired in the Sport & Olympia Museum.
The museum is located in the customs port, close to the famous crane houses.
The entrance fee is 8€.

The KÖLNTRIANGLE offers the most beautiful view on the "Kölner Dom" from a height of more than 100 metres. For 3€ admission you can overlook the whole of Cologne in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition grounds.

For animal lovers the Cologne Zoo with more than 10,000 animals on an area of 20 hectares is an absolute must. Tickets are available here.

Relaxation

You prefer to relax after a long FIBO day?

The Rhine Boulevard on the Deutz Kennedy Ufer invites you to hang out, as does the historic Flora Park, the large Volksgarten, or the Aachener Weiher, which is particularly popular among locals.

Gastronomy & evening events

Especially in Cologne you can also enjoy a freshly brewed Kölsch. Large breweries such as Früh or Gaffel invite you to do so directly at the "Kölner Dom".

In addition, the Belgisches Viertel and Zülpicher Straße in the west of Cologne offer plenty of opportunities for evening entertainment.
