In the context of "fitness", innovations should clearly and unambiguously aim to improve functions of the human organism that have been precisely described in advance and are scientifically tenable. These include:
- Promotion of adaptation and growth processes
- Compensation of deficits caused by training
- Stimulation of psycho-physical balance
- Stimulation of special health-relevant functions of the human organism in the sense of prevention.
It must be demonstrated that the conditions of German food law are adequately taken into account and that the Food Information Regulation (LMIV) has been fully implemented.
Origin labelling of all components of the product must be shown as well as the basis for the sustainability of the product should be described.
Scientific studies to prove the effect of the intake of the product as well as the dosage and application are to be enclosed.
